I don’t discount conspiracy theories *a priori*, but there’s another way of interpreting what happened in the Bill Cosby case. When, for whatever reason, Hannibal Burris’s comments about him went viral in a way other comedians’ hadn’t, this may have induced a bunch of women to reinterpret an experience they felt guilty/embarrassed/ashamed about in retrospect.
